Illinois Tool Works Technology Center works with ITW business units and their
customers to develop improved materials, products, and manufacturing processes.
Technology Center personnel build relationships with ITW business units and
their customers through face-to-face meetings, on-site visits, and fieldwork
to understand customer needs. We analyze and challenge product design, material
selections, and the manufacturing process while working together to create
solutions that meet customer needs. Analytical, design and testing capabilities
help translate customer needs into solutions. Finite element and metallurgical
structure analysis conducted by technology center professionals provide the
technical expertise critical to the process.
